The whippoorwill song is a traditional Ozark folk song. I recorded a kind of "a capella" version, just with my voice and a soft flute acompaniment. I hope you like it!
lyrics
Hark, the whippoorwill! Hark the whippoorwill! Listen to the whippoorwill.
In the starry night so still, Listen to the whippoorwill, Forest shades repeat his song, Dreamily it floats along,
Sadness fills and thrills his lay, Singing all the summer night away, Listen to that plaintive trill, Whippoorwill, sad whippoorwill.
Hark the whippoorwill! Listen to the whippoorwill. Hark the whippoorwill! Whippoorwill, sad whippoorwill.
Softly falls the star-light glow O'er the shadowed world below, Fragrance floating through the air, Dewy freshness everywhere.
While we sing in joy and glee, May we learn, dear singing bird, from thee, May we like thee, whippoorwill, Even in grief go singing still.
Hark the whippoorwill! Hark the whippoorwill! Whippoorwill, sad whippoorwill.
Other birds are blithe and gay Singing but in morn's bright ray, While the whippoorwill's sad tone Greets us when the day has flown.
Hark, the whippoorwill! Hark the whippoorwill! Hark the whippoorwill! Whippoorwill, sad whippoorwill.

Whilst the majority of us will remember 2020 for its ordeals; I have stood upon Ex Libris for the first time and I cannot stop listening to this incredible band.
Chapter 2 is also my favorite of them all.
It gave me the vibes to research what happened 103 years ago in Russia.
And now, with knowledge of those dark times for the Romanov, each listen brings something that makes me want to learn even more about them.
Quite frankly, this is by far the best symphonic music I've heard this year. QuarkStorm
